Anti-Semitism for me, but not for thee
The Left's wielding of anti-Semitism as a weapon is transparent to anyone paying attention
I need to get this off my chest.
As a Jew, I have no interest in hearing from elite Liberals about how awful antisemitism is because they have no moral high ground here. Anti-Semitism is simply a cudgel that Liberals use when someone who pushes back against their “thing of the moment”, mouths words that are either clearly anti-Semitic (as in Kanye’s case) or does something less explicit but could be interpreted as such (as in Kyrie Irving’s case).
What do Kanye and Kyrie have in common? They are both persona non Grata with the Liberal establishment. In Kanye’s case, because of his support of former President Trump, and in Kyrie’s case, because of his skepticism about the Covid vaccines. But make no mistake about it…the only reason Liberals care is that it comes from people who do not support their worldview. If they were out on the campaign trail, rapping and shooting hoops, with Biden and Kamala, anything either of them did would be rationalized away and memory-holed. How can I be so certain? Because that is the consistent M.O. of the left. In fact, I can make my point utilizing a single photo.
Below, is a picture of former President Bill Clinton at Aretha Franklin’s funeral.
Whoops, not this one. I’m supposed to be writing about Liberals’ acceptance of anti-Semitism, not Pedo Bill’s ogling of Ariana Grande. This is the picture I’m talking about:
Bill Clinton shared a stage with, from left to right, Luis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson. Each of these men is part of the establishment left (as shown by the fact they are front and center with a former President), and all have expressed deeply anti-Semitic views throughout their careers. Let’s review, shall we, starting with Jackson.
During his 1984 Presidential campaign run, Jackson referred to Jews as “hymies” and New York as “hymie town.” For those unfamiliar with the term, hymie is a derogatory slur for Jews, derived from the traditional Jewish name Hyman, and is similar in effect to kike and shylock.
Further, during former President Obama’s presidential campaign, Jackson reportedly told the New York Post that "although 'Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades' remain strong, they'll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.” Though he denies the claim, I choose not to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Next up is Al Sharpton.
If you like what you’re reading, why not subscribe?
You know Al Sharpton, right? Good ol’ “Rev Al”, as his pal Joe Scarborough calls him. Good ol’ Rev Al, who has a show on MSNBC. Good ol’ Rev Al, who gets paid $1M from National Action Network, his own charity. Good ol’ Rev Al, who started an anti-Jewish race riot in New York, leading to the death of several people, including a Jewish store owner. Oh, wait…did you know THAT good ol’ Rev Al?
Here is a brief background of the situation from the American Renaissance:
The United House of Prayer, a large African-American church was also a major landlord in Harlem. They raised the rent Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned clothing store which had operated from the same Harlem location for over 40 years. In turn Freddy’s had to raise the rent on its sub-tenant, a black-owned record store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensued. As he has done so often in his life, Al Sharpton turned this non-racial economic dispute into a racial conflict.
Subsequently, at multiple protest rallies (which were simulcast via radio), Sharpton told the gathered crowd, “I want to make it clear to the radio audience and to you here that we will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business on 125th Street".
At another simulcasted protest, a speaker informed the crowd, “I am saying to the Jewish community and specifically to Abraham Foxman, that you come out and utter a word, accusatory remark against Reverend Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Donna Wilson, Reverend Shields, or Gary Byrd, we will boycott you, and nobody loves money any more than the Jewish people [emphasis added]. Thank you.”
These events led to picketing and boycotting, where some participants shouted, “burn down the Jew store,” with the store manager claiming a demonstrator came into the store saying it would be burned down.
Well, at the last rally, the promise was kept when a man with Sharpton’s group went inside, pulled a gun, told all the black shoppers to leave, and set several bins of clothing on fire by dousing them with paint thinner. In the subsequent inferno, seven people were killed.
Sharpton has only ever tried to explain away his role in this event and has never apologized, to my knowledge.
Now let’s get to the most odious lowlife of them all…Louis Farrakhan.
I’ll just hit on the highlights for Farrakhan, as he is really the grand poobah of the modern-day, in-vogue, Liberal anti-Semitism. He has claimed that the Jews were uniquely responsible for the slave trade, controls the US government, controls the media, and generally claims that Jews are not Jews and have no claim to Israel (gee, that last one sounds a lot like a rapper who has been spewing diarrhea from his mouth lately, but I digress),
He has said the Jews were large Southern slaveholders in the pre-Civil War era, called Jews the “satanic Jew,” and at the 23rd anniversary of the Million Man March, said, “[w]hen they talk about Farrakhan, call me a hater, you know how they do – call me an anti-Semite. Stop it, I’m anti-termite, [emphasis added]" to say nothing of the fact he is a holocaust denier.

The ADL has a list of his greatest hits here.
So here we have three men, each of who has been regulars on the Liberal scene for decades, and who garner audiences with former Presidents. Each of whom harbors clear-cut, anti-Semitic beliefs, some of which have led to violence and murders against Jews…and here is a former President laughing it up with them.
There are many more examples I could point to that show the left-wing duplicity on the matter. The Dems have members of their caucus, such as Rashida Talib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who have repeatedly made anti-Semitic comments. When their party attempted to censure Omar for several particularly grievous remarks, they passed a pathetic, sclerotic resolution that condemned all forms of hate and did not name Omar. In fact, she and Talib called the resolution a win, saying, “It's the first time we have voted on a resolution condemning Anti-Muslim bigotry in our nation's history.”
At least when braindead Republican Congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Greene, compared getting a covid vaccine sticker to the yellow star the Nazis used to identify Jews, she was roundly rebuffed by the party leadership. You never see that from the Democrat side of the aisle.
So yes, Kanye is a piece of shit, I 100% agree (no matter how much I like his music, which I do), but the Left has no leg to stand on when it comes to the issue.
Once you have a standard that you hold your own too, I’ll believe your caterwauls. For now, however, it is clearly just a weapon you wish to yield against political foes. I won’t hold my breath for the standard to be set and upheld.
Anti-Semitism for me, but not for thee
Why do you cal MTG brain dead? (((I))) am curious.
